Reading Books

Reading books have now been sent home. Books will be changed on Thursdays.

Please ensure that your child's reading book and reading record are brought into school every day, as we will be reading with the children during class time.

We encourage children to read at least four times each week. Books will only be changed once they have been read and recorded four times.

Sounds Book

New sounds will be added to your child's sounds book as they are taught in school. Please note that new sounds will not be added every week, as we regularly have review and consolidation weeks to revisit previously taught sounds.

Please look through the sounds book regularly with your child. Simple activities such as spotting sounds in the environment, finding them in books, on signs, or in labels around the home can help to reinforce their learning in a fun and meaningful way.

Topic Homework

From time to time, topic homework will be sent home to support and extend the children's learning in class. We appreciate your support in encouraging your child to complete and return any homework by the given date.
