Homework

Homework: PURPLE HOMEWORK BOOKS MUST BE RETURNED TO SCHOOL EVERY WEDNESDAY

Maths - Complete the 'Tenths on a number line' sheet.

Timestables - Focus on the 6, 7, 8 and 9 times tables this week. The aim is to have 4 sessions each week at home.

Please use the BBC sites below, Timestable Rockstars (Soundcheck section). Also, the Learning with Emile app/website (any problems using the app, please contact support@emile-education.com) will have tasks set each week for the children to complete.

Reading - Read 4 times each week and record it on your bookmark when you have finished the book. Books must be read more than once: together with an adult and independently. We encourage you to ask your child lots of questions about what happens in the story, where events occur, how characters feel and why (some books have questions at the back). This is to help them to develop essential comprehension skills, as well as fluency of reading.

English - Create sentences of your own using five of the words from your weekly spellings. Choose any five but make sure you use a dictionary to check the meaning first.

Science - To assist learning with our new science unit, the children can use these sites to help them to understand, Living Things and their Habitats:

Spellings - see weekly test section.

These BBC Bitesize links, together with the Emile website, will help your child to learn their tables. They can then test their knowledge using TTRS.
