Year 4 Next Class Read "How to Train Your Dragon"

In English for the three weeks commencing 1/10/18, the children will focus on non-fiction writing by learning the organisational features of a non-chronological report. The class novel will change to ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ at this point. In history, we will be studying the Vikings after the Anglo Saxons. The story in the book is set in an imaginative Viking setting so fits perfectly as a cross-curricular link. If the children have seen the film, the plot is rather different in the book. I have six copies of the book in my class library plus one copy of the audiobook if any of the children want to read it ahead of our unit of work. The children are aware of this.
