Welcome to another great week.

This week we have had a special visit from Barclays who have come to teach us how to code and make our own shark game on Scratch.  We all loved this and had a great time winning points and eating fish.

We have also worked towards people in our class doing our own Class Worships.  Chloe, Daisy and Holly did a lovely worship on prayer pebbles followed by Harry, Finn and Liam.  We look forward to all having a turn and joining as a class to worship together.

In maths, we have been looking at converting measurements and reading scales and done so practically using measuring jugs and water. There was even a puzzle and problem based around how much water could be divided across 3 jugs following the strict guidelines given. There was lots of fun and chaos as you can imagine.

Within English, we have begun to write our own innovated version of “The Water Tower” looking at new characters and settings. The children have really understood the techniques of using dialogue to show characters personality and also embedded relative clauses to give more information about the setting too.  I can’t wait to share these will you and also share them with our Year 4 friends.

Our athletics group took part in a competition on Wednesday and we were very proud of them and their efforts as we always are of all of our friends in whatever they do.  This was the case for those in our class who received special praise from Mrs Smith as door monitors and great role models.  Well done Julia, Daisy, Sebastian, Mia, Zuzanna, and Sienna.
