First week

Year 5 have had a great start to the first week back. Well done all of you.

You all should have your reading books and homework diaries.  Remember to keep changing these when you are done and recording your reading at home in your homework planner for now.  The homework and spellings have been set for this week so don't forget to crack on with those tasks to earn more raffle tickets and merit marks.

We are two chapters in to Friend or Foe and David is just about to be evacuated.  Think more about how you would feel in his shoes and what things he may have to tackle next.

Our first numeracy challenge proved a little tricky so remember to slow down when doing those written methods of addition and subtraction and check your work as we begin to move to bigger numbers with more columns next week!!

Our Science, History and Art will kick in next week so please look at our topics and begin to think about what you already know to share with us to earn some more rewards.

Finally, I loved hearing all of the great reports from the Music and PE teachers this week. Very proud of you all! 

Keep it up and dust off your swimming kits for next week!
