Last few weeks

Year 5 have been incredibly busy for the past few weeks with their DT project using cams to design, make and evaluate a moving toy but also looking at practical maths in action with links to our DT and Science where we have measured and used scales.

We have also been looking at inspirational people in RE to prepare for our topic after Christmas as well as rehearsing our Christmas carols in music. 

There has been assessments and tests to contend with which the children have done really well in and I am so proud of their attitude and resillience. 

There have been some changes to Merits and they will now be Headteachers Awards that will be nominated by the class teacher for a special reason.  This means the children will still be collecting merits but for their own badges eg bronze, silver and gold and also collecting them for the house awards and treat.
