Homework

Homework

Please complete by Thursday 10th September

Part 1

This week we have been developing our fine motor skills by holding our pencils and pens in a tripod grip. Please encourage your child to hold their

pencils at home correctly.

An optional activity is to decorate the outfits with dots within each of the circles on the sheet sent home.

Part 2

In Phonics this week we have been learning the phonemes ck, e, u, r can your child spot any of these letters in the environment?

Please support your child’s developing phonics knowledge by encouraging them to blend words throughout the week. E.g. instead of saying cat you would say the letter sounds ( c- a- t) the children will be able to blend the word back together.

Part 3

If possible, please could you collect and bring into school some pine cones for a bird feeder making activity next week.

Please note: Books are changed on a Thursday each week.

We will not change books if your child has not returned them to school or they do not have 4 reads recorded in their reading diary. Thank you for your support with this.

Next week is phonics assessment week to ensure that your child has been able to learn all of the letters taught so far. This is done very informally and you will be provided with an overview of any sounds they require support on following this.
