Homework Year 2

Hello and welcome to Year 2,

The children have made a fantastic start to the year and we are really happy they have settled so well. Thank-you for all your continued support with this transition. We know parents are always very keen to support their children at home and we hope this letter will be helpful in supporting you to do this with weekly homework.

Each week some children will receive a new reading book, usually on a Monday.  Please record or sign the reading diary when you share this book and return the record to school each Friday and then each Monday.  Other children are able to change their books more frequently, but will still need to return the diaries to school weekly on a Friday.  More information on which group your child will fall into will follow.

Spellings will be set on a Friday and tested the following Friday.  They will be available on the Year 2 page of our school website under the spellings tab and the relevant adults name.  Again more information on which group your child is in will follow.

Weekly tasks will usually be set online for maths and english along with instructions.

If homework books are sent home, this will be on a Friday.  We do ask that any written tasks are completed in writing pencil and as with any other school book, in your best handwriting.  Please return books to school by Wednesday of the following week so that they can be marked and prepared for the Friday.
